Who Do You Treat? We generally treat anyone ages 8 and up!

How Do I Know If I Need Physical Therapy? What Is It Good For? Physical Therapy is a tool to increase your quality of life. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, strengthening skills as you age, or just want to be better at a sport, PT can give you tools to help you excel!

What Does An Appointment Look Like? Upon first visit, the physical therapist will assess you, and ask you preliminary treatment questions. Once that step is done, your team, along with your input, will create a plan for your care that aligns with your recovery goals. When the plan is set, you will start being instructed by the team on how to move through prescribed exercises that will help you get back to your best.

How Long Is A Session? Session length depends on many factors! Things like severity of injury, current range of motion, and even scheduling can come into play when starting a PT appointment. On average, an appointment can last about an hour.

Why Do I Have To Come So Often? PT is not a quick fix. There aren’t many quick fixes when it comes to physical recovery! PT provides you with invaluable input, and guidance on how to recover effectively. This aspect allows you to continue living your life to the fullest. Yes, a few times a week, for many weeks, feels daunting, but the work you put in could drastically change your life. We think it’s more than worth it!

What If I Don’t Continue My Exercises After I Am Cleared? Will you be fine without continuing your exercises outside of PT appointments? In short, yes. In long, continuous work, and strengthening, post injury will only benefit you as time goes on. Doing exercises help protect you from re-injury, and increase your health overall.

What is the difference between Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy? PT addresses aspects like improving mobility, regaining strength, and gaining physical function. Occupational Therapy hones in on the specific parts of every day movement such as: getting dressed, or eating a meal.
