Matt Barnes, DPT, OCS, ATC
Dr. Matt Barnes is a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer with over 20 years of rehabilitation experience is a variety of settings. He is a graduate of Morristown West High School and Carson-Newman University. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Neumann University in Pennsylvania. He is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.
His areas of expertise include general orthopedics and sports medicine. He also treats work injuries, geriatrics and vertigo. Additionally, he performs dry needling and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization.
In the past he has served on the medical staffs of Carson-Newman University, The Toronto Blue Jays and The New York Yankees. Additionally, he established the sports medicine program at Morristown East High School.
Chris Cole, PT
Chris Cole is a physical therapist and has been serving the Lakeway area for over 20 years. He graduated from Morristown East High School and later from Carson-Newman University with his Bachelor of Science degree. He then earned his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Chris’ expertise includes orthopedics, geriatrics, work injuries and sports medicine.
Chris also has extensive experience with aquatic physical therapy and currently sees aquatic patients in Morristown. He is active and instrumental in Rehab Group’s sports medicine programs in the community.
Jason Kennedy, DPT
Dr. Jason Kennedy is a local graduate of Jefferson County High School. Following high school, Jason earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from East Tennessee State University and went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at South College. Jason excels in orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, and working with people throughout their life span. In Jason’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and playing golf.
Dee’ Kennedy, OTR/L
Dee’ Kennedy, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from Milligan College with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She began her career in upper extremity injuries here in the Lakeway area. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists as well as the American Occupational Therapy Association. The conditions of the hand and upper extremity that she treats includes, but is not limited to: fractures, nerve injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, sprains, strains, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lateral/medial epicondylitis, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), strokes, Parkinson’s Disease, and weakness/pain. Dee’ also performs mobility exams for custom power wheelchairs and scooter. Additionally, she is skilled in fabricating custom splinting for the upper extremity. Dee’ and her husband are both Jefferson County High School alumni and reside in their hometown of White Pine with their daughter and 2 dogs. In her spare time, Dee’ enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church and traveling.
Callie Nix, PTA
Callie Nix is originally from Cartersville, GA. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology. She graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at South College. She currently resides in Dandridge and sees patients primarily in the Morristown office.
Ashley Dewey, PTA
Ashley Dewey is a native of Morristown. Following her graduation from Morristown East High School, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from East Tennessee State University. She later went on to earn her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from South College. She currently holds a certification in Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. She resides in Morristown and primarily sees patients in the Morristown office.
Amber Sigler, PTA
Amber Sigler is a graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Walters State Community College. Originally from Georgia, she now resides in Talbott. She sees patients at both the Morristown and Dandridge locations.
